It was a beautiful weekend. A little cool but mostly sunny. We didn't take full advantage of it but we did spend a little time outside. The highlight (other than the Raiders getting their first win) was taking the kids to a pumpkin patch on Sunday. They had a great time taking a hay ride, climbing the hay wall, sitting on the tractor, and picking out pumpkins. I'd post pictures, but I forgot my camera at home...
I went to the doctor today. I lost 8 pounds since June (6 pounds over the past month). My goal is to drop 25-30. I've been eating better, working out, and putting some time in on the treadmill. The treadmill work has been paying off as my BP was 124/78 and my pulse was mid 70s - not bad considering I was having a stressful morning and just being in a doctors office makes me nervous...
Since I completed my ITIL Foundations certification last week, I got back to other reading activities. Here's what I'm reading now:
Awaken the Giant Within by Anthony Robbins
Wi-Fi (802.11) Network Handbook by Neil Reid and Ron Seide
I'm also listening to:
NLP The New Technology of Achievement by NLP Comprehensive
RAIDERS WIN!
Sure...it was against the Cardinals but a win's a win. We're now 1-5...

Welcome to my blog. This is my first attempt at keeping some kind of journal. My main motivation for creating this blog is to keep in touch with my family and friends.
About Me
- Name: Sam
- Location: United States
I am a family man and a technology professional. I have a beautiful wife (Lisa), four beautiful children (AJ, Adam, Alyssa and Mitchell) and five beautiful grandchildren (Adrienna, Matias, and Adam, Jr., Evangeline, and Isiah) - and I'm only 44!). I created this blog as a journal of my experiences primarily to keep in touch with my family and friends.
